Gently press on the bonnet and get your partner to pull at the lever and hold. Release your hold of the bonnet and try lifting it. remove the o/s/f indicator this can be done by putting a thin screw driver between the bonnet and wing to push the indicator release tab down. once the indicator is out of the way you can see the bonnet catch behind the headlamp use a torch to locate where the cable should be and pull the latch towards you.

Hi all, I need some help and advice regarding the bonnet release on my 2009 Fiesta. I recently attempted to open my bonnet, but as I pulled the lever nothing happened. The lever has no resistance now. I could see the cable is still connected to the lever so it sounds like it has broken at the cat There are two release catches about 15" to the right and left of the centre safety catch.
